Lawn Care Forums

The best way to keep a business busy and vibrant is by acquiring more customers. A test of the strength of your business is whether you are bringing in new customers on a regular basis. The first way to find new customers is to encourage your existing customers to recommend you to their friends and neighbors. However, people often forget to mention their satisfaction with your business to others, so word of mouth alone is usually not sufficient for a thriving business.

You may not have considered the internet yet as a great resource for networking and contacting potential new customers. It is granted that lawn care work is quite often physical in nature and occurs exclusively outdoors. On the other hand, it is true that the majority of people have access to the internet and many people are searching the internet to find products and services… even local ones. Most probably, the business that ignores the internet is losing their largest advertising opportunity yet.

You do not need to spend thousands of dollars on a web designer to create a site for your business. There are other websites that already have active forums and message boards that you can take advantage. Your knowledge and expertise on these forums will be more than welcome. One example of a place you can make a contribution is Yahoo Answers. Although Yahoo has a big international presence you can also find links to local message boards and forums, where experts such as yourself can answer local citizens questions.

As I have mentioned, look at the questions people ask in these places and answer them as proficiently as the expert that you are. Before long you will be recognized as respected lawn care professional and as a matter of course people will be contacting you to handle their lawn care for them.

It must be kept in mind that one of the most critical things you can do in these forums is to let people know who you are. At the very least you could use your company name as your user name or profile name. Be aware also that many forums allow you to add a “signature” to the bottom of each and every one of your posts with any message or contact information you desire, like your email address or business telephone number. That may be all it takes to garner some new clients for your business.

It seems logical that your best efforts should be concentrated on forums and message boards that cater to your local area. Make it a frequent pasttime to look for these forums wheret you can lend your knowledge and help. Some places to look are the websites of local nursuries, hardware stores and lawn care product supplies. Many of these sites will have message boards and forums for your local area, or links on where to go to find them. By making good use of what is already out there on the internet, you can grow your business rapidly and at a reasonable cost.
